Hadoop Summit SJ 2nd Annual Bike Ride

Do you know the way to San Jose ... via a bicycle?

We are excited to host our second-annual Hadoop Summit Bike Ride! Join fellow Hadoopers for a pre-Summit morning ride from the San Jose Convention Center through South San Jose, along the Coyote Creek Trail, on Wednesday, June 4 at 5:00 AM with a 5:30 AM departure. MAP

The bike ride is free and open to all attendees. However, space is limited and you must register for the ride in advance if you wish to participate. Limited edition jerseys will also be given to those who participate.

There are some rolling hills but the route is fairly flat. It will be a fun way to commune and compete with fellow Hadoop cyclists and get energized for a full day of Hadoop Summit goodness!

Refreshments and light breakfast items will be available from 5:00 AM to 5:25 AM and at the end of the ride. We will depart from the front the San Jose Convention Center by 5:30 AM. The ride will be approximately 2 hours.

BIKE RENTAL: If you need to rent a bike, please click here to order directly from Sports Basement by May 25. They will have your bike available, with regular pedals, at the start. They do not rent shoes so please bring your own and/or pedals if you prefer. All bike rental requests must be submitted no later than May 25.
